BFCM is 98.1%* owned by the regional entities of the mutual banking group (mainly the Caisse Fédérale de Crédit Mutuel). It is at the heart of the Crédit Mutuel Alliance Fédérale organization through several key business activities:
BFCM also serves as the refinancing facility for Crédit Mutuel Alliance Fédérale and thus acts on the financial markets as an issuer of financial instruments in the short-term and medium long-term
BFCM acts as custodian mainly for Undertakings for Collective Investment (UCI) of Crédit Mutuel Alliance Fédérale’s management companies.
